Job summary

Phaxis is seeking an Operations Analyst for a high frequency trading environment in New York. You will own clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of all trades and positions, ensuring accurate books and records and tight risk control.

You will collaborate with traders, finance, brokers, custodians, and clients to keep settlements on schedule. This role is technical: you will partner with software engineers to automate workflows, improve tools, and shape control architectures while gaining

Qualifications

High Frequency trading firm is hiring an Operations Analyst to own the clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of all trades and positions across the firm. You'll work closely with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, custodians, and clients to keep trades settling on time, books and records accurate, and risk in check for both the firm and its customers.

This isn't just an operations role – it's a technical one. You'll partner directly with software engineers to automate workflows and build more robust systems, and you'll help shape the architecture of new tools and controls. You'll become an expert in the mechanics of trade clearance and settlement, dig into meaningful data analysis, and directly support the firm's ability to trade efficiently and safely.

What we're looking for:
  • 1+ years of professional experience (new grads welcome to apply)
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred (Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar)
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python
