Role Summary
Bonide is actively seeking a strategic and results-driven Trade Marketing Manager to serve as a critical link between Brand Marketing, Key Accounts, and the end consumer. This role is responsible for developing and executing shopper-focused strategies that drive brand growth and retailer success across the full path to purchase.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Omni-channel shopper journey, including brick-and-mortar and e-commerce platforms. As the consumer landscape evolves, this individual must leverage insights, data, and cross-functional collaboration to create compelling retail programs that influence shopper behavior and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Success in this role requires the ability to drive joint value creation with retail partners, align internal stakeholders across functions, and deliver tailored marketing solutions that enhance brand visibility, conversion, and loyalty in all channels.
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights Generation
- Analyze account shipment (sell-in) and POS (sell-through) data to assess performance trends, product velocity, and promotional effectiveness.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across channels, customers, and product lines to identify growth opportunities or areas of concern.
- Generate actionable insights from data sources (e.g., Numerator, Stackline) and retailer portals.
Planogram and Merchandising Optimization
- Recommend planogram resets for key accounts based on sales performance, shopper insights, and shelf productivity.
- Collaborate with Category Management and Sales teams to ensure planograms reflect consumer demand and maximize shelf efficiency.
- Support implementation of in-store merchandising strategies that drive visibility and conversion.
Trade Promotion Management
- Develop channel specific annual marketing, merchandising, and trade promotion plans
- Lead the development and implementation of collateral to support retail growth objectives such as displays, and promotional products.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure all consumer-facing artwork (existing and new) adheres to Brand standards and Visual Id
- Monitor ROI of trade promotions, price reductions, and display execution to ensure budget efficiency.
- Partner with Finance and Sales to analyze post-event performance and optimize future trade investment.
- Own the development of all sell-in tools, including strategic presentations, channel/retailer insights, 1-pagers, product displays and sell sheets
- Manage the customization and implementation of national and regional brand programming within all retail channels to deliver volume and growth
- Partner with key accounts to align on marketing initiatives, promotional calendars, and in-store execution plans.
- Serve as the bridge between Marketing and Sales to ensure consistency in brand messaging and retail activation.
- Prepare and present data-driven business reviews and category insights to buyers and retail partners.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate with Sales, Brand Marketing, Category Management, and Supply Chain to support integrated go-to-market plans.
- Lead new product introduction efforts at retail, including distribution tracking, merchandising plans, and launch performance analysis.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive activity, and shopper behavior to inform strategic planning.
- Conduct store audits and competitive analysis to monitor execution and identify white space opportunities.
Budget & Performance Tracking
- Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of spend across accounts and activities.
- Report on marketing spend effectiveness, adjusting plans based on performance data and business priorities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 2+ years of experience in consumer care or customer service, with a focus on resolving issues across eCommerce and social media platforms.
- Experience managing consumer inquiries and concerns across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and eCommerce websites. Ability to track and respond to digital sentiment.
- Strong ability to resolve consumer complaints and issues in a calm, efficient, and empathetic manner. Experience with issue escalation and follow-through.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly tone when interacting with consumers.
- Comfortable using digital tools, including CRM systems, social media monitoring tools, and eCommerce platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media management tools is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, sharing insights and supporting other team members to ensure a high level of consumer satisfaction.
- Previous experience working in the lawn, garden, or pesticide industry is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
