Job summary

Management & Training Corporation operates the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV, seeking an instructor to deliver career technical instruction per approved curricula.

You will provide training, guidance, and support to help students achieve academic goals, while maintaining safety and an organized learning environment. The role requires substitute teaching credentials, 2 years in career training, OSHA 10 within 90 days, and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Substitute teaching certification/license required by state.
• Two years of work-related experience in the designated career training area.
• Willing to obtain OSHA 10 credential within first 90 days of employment.
• A valid driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/ or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the career technical instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic goals.

• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
