Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of related training experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in behavior, training, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff to resolve training issues.
• Develop and prepare lessons aligned with approved curricula.
• Maintain a safe, organized training environment.
• Participate in student assessments and document using CIS and related systems.

Work schedule: As needed, Monday - Friday

Job responsibilities: Instructors are responsible for the career technical instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic goals.

Essential Functions

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/ or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels, perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and/or substitute teaching certification, as required by the state of employment (or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire) or
• One (1) years of work related experience in the designated career training area.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
