Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the New Orleans Job Corps Center in New Orleans, LA, and seeks an Instructor, Vocational Trade Substitute to support career technical instruction per approved curricula.

You will provide training and guidance to help students achieve academic goals, maintain a safe training environment, and collaborate with counselors and staff to address student needs. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related experience in the trade they will be substituting.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/ or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.

What you will be doing:
