Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Trade Execution Coordinator to support bulk vessel export execution from U.S. Gulf locations such as Myrtle Grove, LA and Houston, TX, serving Mexico and Central America.

The role also cross-trains in Mexico rail and warehousing activities to provide backup and ensure continuity. Responsibilities include documenting export shipments, coordinating with multiple internal teams and external partners, monitoring milestones, and resolving issues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, trade execution, or international transportation
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) with strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned CFR and FOB export contracts involving bulk agricultural shipments, primarily supporting Mexico and Central America trade flows.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate export documentation including bills of lading, invoices, phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin, and related shipping documents.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Logistics Operations, terminals, customers, vessel agents, surveyors, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to support shipment execution.
• Monitor vessel milestones and resolve documentation discrepancies, delays, and operational issues.
• Support Mexico rail execution activities, including shipment coordination, documentation and border/customs requirements.
• Support Mexico warehousing activities, including inventory movements, documentation, reconciliation, customer releases, and coordination with warehouses.
• Support invoicing, settlement, payment follow-up, and other transaction-related activities.
• Cross-train across vessel, rail, and warehousing activities to strengthen backup coverage and business continuity.
• Support process improvement initiatives focused on execution efficiency, documentation quality, controls and workflow optimization.

Summary

CHS, Inc. is hiring a Trade Execution Coordinator to primarily support bulk vessel export execution for shipments originating from U.S. Gulf locations, including Myrtle Grove, LA grain terminal and Houston, TX grain terminal (TEMCO), serving customers in Mexico and Central America. This role will also cross-train in Mexico rail and warehousing activities, providing backup coverage and supporting business continuity across the trade execution team.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned CFR and FOB export contracts involving bulk agricultural commodity shipments, primarily supporting Mexico and Central America trade flows.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate export documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin, and related shipping documents.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Logistics Operations, terminals, customers, vessel agents, surveyors, freight forwarders, and other internal and external stakeholders to support successful shipment execution.
• Monitor vessel execution milestones and assist with resolution of documentation discrepancies, delays, and other operational issues.
• Support Mexico rail execution activities, including shipment coordination, documentation, border and customs-related requirements, and communication with internal teams and external service providers.
• Support Mexico warehousing activities, including inventory movements, documentation, reconciliation activities, customer releases, and coordination with warehouses and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate contract, shipment, rail, and inventory information within applicable systems and operational tracking tools.
• Support invoicing, settlement, payment follow-up, and other transaction-related activities as assigned.
• Cross-train across vessel, rail, and warehousing activities to strengthen backup coverage and business continuity.
• Support process improvement initiatives focused on execution efficiency, documentation quality, operational controls, and workflow optimization.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, trade execution, or international transportation.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
• Knowledge of NAEGA, GAFTA, or ANEC trade terms and international grain documentation practices.
• Familiarity with rail, ocean, and intermodal transport, especially involving U.S. to Mexico trade.
• Experience working with customs brokers or international compliance teams.
