Job summary

CHS Inc. offers a paid internship that lets students contribute to meaningful projects supporting agriculture and a global business.

You’ll work with experienced professionals, gain leadership skills, and connect with mentors and senior leaders while exploring how CHS businesses collaborate to empower agriculture. You will gain exposure to basic trading concepts, the energy and renewable markets, and hands-on experience with SAP, JD Edwards, Refinitiv Eikon, CQG, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Previous internship in trading and/or merchandising.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work with traders to gain exposure to basic trading functions and concepts.
• Gain exposure to the energy and renewable markets, developing knowledge and understanding of the business.
• Assist traders with market analysis and data collection.
• Contribute to market update meetings by sharing knowledge of current market information.
• Assist in daily position monitoring and reporting functions.
• Assist in hedging futures positions for the forward contract book.
• Obtain a working knowledge of various software programs including SAP, JD Edwards, Refinitiv Eikon (Reuters), CQG (Trading Platform) and Power BI.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
