Job summary

Qcells North America in Cartersville, GA seeks a Trade Compliance Analyst to support U.S. import operations and global trade.

You will manage HTS classification, review documentation, screen transactions, and monitor regulatory compliance across business units to ensure accuracy and policy adherence. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of hands-on trade compliance experience, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced solar/renewables environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business or related field.
• 3–6 years' hands-on experience in trade compliance or global trade.
• Knowledge of HTS, INCOTERMs, origin determination, and CBP regulations.
• Experience with ERP or GTM systems and documenting compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage documentation for U.S. customs clearance of equipment, materials, and spare parts.
• Validate HTS classification forms for accuracy and coordinate classification teams.
• Coordinate pre-shipment reviews to ensure TSCA, FDA, ADD/CVD compliance.
• Serve as primary point of contact for brokers, forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage purchase orders for customs entry and export readiness; track shipment status.
• Maintain CBP records, duty docs, and reporting for audits and traceability.
• Stay current on U.S. regulations to mitigate risk and prevent delays.
• Provide cross-functional coverage across suppliers, engineering, finance, and logistics.

Summary

The Trade & Customs Compliance Analyst supports the company's global trade operations by ensuring adherence to U.S. import and supply chain security regulations. This role is responsible for classification, documentation review, screening, and compliance monitoring across multiple business units. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in trade compliance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.

Trade Compliance

• Manage all documentation required for U.S. customs clearance of equipment, raw materials, and spare parts, ensuring compliance with CBP regulations and internal trade compliance policies.
• Validate HTS Classification Request Forms for accuracy and completeness, including material composition, weights, product descriptions, and country of origin. Coordinate with internal and external classification teams to execute.
• Coordinate pre‑shipment classification reviews with internal Compliance teams to ensure adherence to TSCA, FDA, ADD/CVD, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve clearance, documentation, and compliance issues.
• Manage purchase orders to ensure customs entry and export transaction readiness, proactively communicating shipment status to brokers and forwarders to support timely release.
• Maintain and manage accuracy of customs records, duty documentation, and CBP‑related reporting to support audit readiness and regulatory traceability.
• Stay current on changes in U.S. Customs regulations and trade compliance requirements to mitigate risk and prevent shipment delays.
• Provide cross‑functional coverage and operational support to ensure continuity across suppliers, engineering, finance, and logistics operations.

Cost/Financial

• Manage monthly CBP periodic statement reporting and closeout.
• Process and coordinate broker payments.
• Prepare monthly duty and customs forecasts.
• Submit remittances and maintain/update aging reports.
• Work with Accounting and Treasury teams to prepare and secure trade compliance funding.

Documentation & Recordkeeping

• Ensure compliance with CBP’s 5-year recordkeeping requirements.
• Manage accuracy and distribution of our classification databases, SOPs, procedures and compliance documentation.
• Prepare reports, metrics, and analytics dashboards for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in trade compliance, customs operations, or global trade.
• Detailed knowledge of HTS classification, INCOTERMs, FTA, origin determination, CBP regulations, and import/export documentation and processes.
• Broker management and auditing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in manufacturing, solar/renewables, or high‑tech industries.
• Experience with global supply chain security programs (CTPAT, PIP, AEO).
• Familiarity with UFLPA, forced labor risk assessments, and supplier due diligence.
• CUSECO, CCS, LCB, or similar trade compliance licensing or certification.
• Experience using ERP or GTM systems (SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, Integration Point, OneSource, etc.).
