Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver for our Nottingham, PA team. This full-time role offers a retention bonus of up to $250 and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and on-site health services.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with route-based start times and potential overtime to meet business demands. Responsibilities include safe driving, trailer hookups, inspections, logging and ERP data entry, and on-time deliveries to branches and distributors.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A CDL license.
• Able to work in wet, humid, cold and hot conditions.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Occasionally exposed to moving parts, high places, fumes.
• Able to perform basic math with units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck to destinations including branch and distributor locations.
• Observes traffic rules and safety guidelines; monitors speed and idle time.
• Hooks and un-hooks trailers.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections; reports condition via samsara tablet.
• Maintains driver logs and mileage; follows IC regulations.
• Unloads trailers and handles product.
• Operates onboard ERP-related systems to log data when required.
• Updates ERP records with real-time production and inventory data.
• Tracks inventory levels and coordinates replenishment.

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for our Tractor Trailer Driver position, to join our Nottingham, PA team!

Schedule & Working Hours

• SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
• SHIFT: Start time varies depending on the route driven for the day.
  • Additional hours may be required due to business demands.

Background Check

Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen. As well as a preplacement screening which tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck to destinations including branch and distributor locations.
• Observes all rules of the road pertaining to being a safe and courteous driver, including speed monitoring, idle time, following distance, enforced by truck cameras.
• Hooking and un-hooking from trailers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for defects on both the truck and the trailer before and after trips and submits report indicating truck and trailer condition through the samsara tablet.
• Maintains driver logs and state to state mileage according to I.C. regulations using the samsara tablet.
• Unload trailers, make pickups and properly handle product while doing so.
• Operate on board the computer to produce logs and other information as required.
• Accurate counts and documents changes to product unloaded from trailers.
• Follow all safety guidelines as described in the safety code of conduct.
• Familiarity with product codes preferred.
• Ensure that manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
• Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data, including production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
• Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with the necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
• Other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
