Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform routine to intermediate maintenance, service, and repairs on tractors and equipment. The role may require outdoor work, varying shifts, nights and weekends, and overtime.

You will troubleshoot issues, follow safety procedures, complete work orders, and participate in the Technician Career Advancement program. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and more.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in semi-tractor maintenance or equivalent.
  • A/C Certification.
  • DOT inspections and FHWA inspections, and air brakes.
  • Basic tools are required and may be supplied by employee in most locations.
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate-level maintenance and repairs on tractors and equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot issues; complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines.
  • Assist onboarding and mentoring of Tractor Technician trainees.
  • Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.

Hunt tractors and other equipment. Technicians must be able to troubleshoot issues, complete all fleet maintenance processes, and ensure that units meet J.B. Hunt specifications at all times.
