Job summary

PAM Transport Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform maintenance and repair on diesel-powered tractors and trailers in our Charlotte shop. The role involves hands-on diagnostics and mechanical work to keep our fleet in top condition.

You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and document repair actions clearly. A minimum of one year with diesel vehicles is required; certification is preferred. We offer a daytime schedule and benefits including health, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience working on diesel powered vehicles.
• Certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic programs.
• Own basic tools required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems.
• Communicate findings to lead on floor and note parts needed for other departments.
• Write up repair orders with clear and detailed descriptions of the faults and procedures used.
