Job summary

PAM Transport Inc. is seeking a reliable trailer technician for our Fort Wayne shop. You will perform mechanical work, diagnostics, and inspections on diesel trailers on a Monday–Friday 6am–2pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience working on diesel powered vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge in Diesel Mechanics.
• Knowledge in using diagnostic programs.
• Own basic tools.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Certification in Diesel Mechanics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and identify problems.
• Write up on the repair order an accurate, clear, and detailed description of the cause of failure and the repair procedure used.
• Communicate all findings to lead on floor such as parts being needed and other key components that require other department attention.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
