Job summary

PAM Transport is seeking a highly motivated diesel truck and trailer mechanic to join our team in the United States. This role focuses on hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep freight moving safely and efficiently.

Schedule is Sunday to Wednesday, 6am to 4:30pm, with pay ranging from $32 to $35 per hour depending on experience. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and paid weekly direct deposit, plus additional voluntary benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with 1+ year of diesel vehicle or equipment work.
• Certification in Diesel Mechanics is preferred.
• Knowledge of diagnostic programs and using diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and communicate findings to floor lead.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and identify problems.
• Write clear descriptions of repair procedures and causes of failure.

About this opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated skilled diesel truck and trailer mechanics. From beginners to skilled leaders, each technician will be an integral part of keeping America’s freight moving forward through hands-on, in-depth electronic diagnostics and mechanical repairs.

Schedule

• Sunday - Wednesday 6am to 4:30pm
• The pay range is $32-$35 Per Hour depending on experience.

How will you contribute to the success of the team?

• Always adhere all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Communicate all findings to lead on floor such as parts being needed and other key components that require other department attention.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and identify problems.
• Write up on the repair order an accurate, clear, and detailed description of the cause of failure the repair procedure used.

What makes you a strong candidate for this position?

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a minimum of one year experience working on diesel powered vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge in Diesel Mechanics, certification is a preferred.
• Knowledge in using diagnostic programs.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Own basic tools.
