Job summary

Bayside Kubota of Hollywood is hiring a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service a range of Kubota tractors and equipment. The role emphasizes maintaining records, coordinating with the Service Manager, and staying current with factory training.

Flexible hours include some evenings or weekends to support service demand. Ideal candidates are legally eligible to work in the United States, possess a valid driver’s license, and own the necessary tools.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Must have own tools for most service work.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, recondition, service, and assemble equipment as assigned by the Shop Foreman.
• Repair equipment including tractors, small engines, lawn mowers, ATVs, construction and farm equipment.
• Maintain accurate and readable records of work performed.
• Report shortages and malfunctions to the Service Manager.
• Disassemble and inspect equipment to quote and schedule work.
• Recommends additional necessary repairs to Service Manager and/or customer.
• Keep shop vehicles clean and serviced; report vehicle problems.
• Stay updated with technical changes and factory service schools.
• Address repeat repairs to prevent future outages and expenses.
• Fabricate and weld metal parts when needed.
• Make service calls as assigned by the Service Manager.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose, repair, recondition, service, and assemble equipment as assigned by the Shop Foreman.
• Repairs equipment, including but not limited to, all size tractors, small engines, lawn mowers, all-terrain vehicles, construction, and farm equipment.
• Maintains accurate and easy to read records of work performed.
• Reports any work shortages and malfunctions of shop equipment to the Service Manager.
• Completely disassembles and inspects equipment as quickly as possible, so parts may be ordered promptly, and machine work can be properly quoted and scheduled.
• Recommends any additional necessary repairs to Service Manager and/or Customer.
• Keeps shop vehicles clean and properly serviced. Reports any problems with vehicles to the Service Manager.
• Stays up to date with technical changes and participates in continuing education with factory service schools.
• Pays special attention to repeat repairs or comebacks to correct problems and avoid future job comebacks and unnecessary dealership expenses.
• Fabricates and welds metal parts together when necessary.
• Makes service calls as assigned by the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A self-motivator with strong attention to detail.
• The candidate(s) must also have their own appropriate level of tools required for most service work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
