Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pass assessments, background check, pre-employment drug screen, and random drug tests.
• High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred but not required.
• Willing to travel to various job sites, including overnight stays.
• Work in all weather conditions and respond to safety signals.
• Ability to work as a team member or unsupervised when needed.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 100 pounds, and use vision/hearing.

Responsibilities

• Carry and place track materials using standard railroad tools.
• Install tracks and embankments and perform track work, including road crossings.
• Perform track maintenance and construction tasks like changing rails and ties.
• Operate picks, shovels, spike mauls, and other equipment.
• Operate hydraulic and air-powered railroad tools.
• Attend after-hours or weekend callouts to repair derailments.
• Assist in re-railing train cars.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE.
