You will carry, install, and maintain track materials; operate power tools; and participate in after-hours callouts as needed. Candidates must be 18+, willing to travel, and able to meet safety requirements in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass required assessments/trainings; willing to undergo background check and drug tests.
• High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred, but not required.
• Willing and able to travel to various job sites, including overnight stays.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and follow safety signals.

Responsibilities

• Carry and place track materials using standard railroad maintenance tools.
• Install railroad tracks and embankments, including cross signage and rail lubricator.
• Perform maintenance and construction tasks—changing rails, ties, adjusting switches.
• Operate picks, shovels, spike mauls, and other tools for extended periods.
• Use hydraulic and air railroad power tools; respond to after-hours callouts.
