Qualifications

• Experience operating hydraulic excavators (track hoes).
• Able to read construction plans and follow directions.

• Basic mechanical knowledge for maintenance and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic excavators to excavate, move, and grade earth.
• Interpret blueprints or follow directions from supervisors to dig trenches and perform excavation tasks.
• Use machine controls, levers, and toolbars to manage digging and grading operations.
• Perform routine maintenance, including greasing, oiling, and minor repairs using hand tools and equipment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain detailed logs of equipment use.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust as needed, estimating depth and load by feel and engine feedback.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project goals.
