Posillico Civil, Inc. is seeking a Track Hoe Operator to safely and efficiently operate hydraulic excavators on active civil, utility, and road projects.

The role emphasizes accurate trenching, utility excavation, and coordination with supervisors to maintain safety and productivity on-site. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of track hoe experience, OSHA-10 certification, and a valid driver's license or CDL.

Qualifications

• Minimum OSHA 10 certification required.
• 2–5 years of track hoe or hydraulic excavator experience in heavy civil, utility, or road construction.
• Valid driver's license; CDL and equipment certifications preferred.
• Ability to read plans, grade stakes, utility locates, and site layouts.
• Knowledge of trench safety, underground utility installation, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work safely in confined spaces around utilities and operate in outdoor environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate track hoes (hydraulic excavators) in support of construction activities.
• Perform trenching, grading, digging, backfilling, and material handling tasks.
• Excavate for underground utilities with proper clearances and accuracy.
• Read blueprints, grade stakes, utility markings, and GPS machine control systems.
• Conduct daily inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and stay mindful of safety standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, pipe crews, laborers, and other operators to complete projects.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to avoid damaging utilities or structures.
• Load/unload materials while minimizing wear and ensuring site safety.
• Assist with general site duties when equipment operation isn't required.
• Follow safety procedures, traffic control regulations, and operating standards.
