Position Description

The candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all visitors, employees, and properties related to horse racing at Presque Isle Downs. Responsibilities include controlling access to the Stable Gate area, providing physical security and visual presence in the stable area, enforcing track rules and regulations, issuing citations when necessary, managing parking permits, and ensuring compliance with parking regulations. The candidate will also secure access to the Jockey Room, maintain organization in the Winner’s Circle and Paddock area, control access through the Shoot Gate and South Track Gate, perform scheduled patrols, prepare and update paperwork, write incident reports, verify identification of individuals attempting to access restricted areas, and assist with crowd control on the outside apron. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Requirements

• Security experience is helpful but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must perform duties respectfully and politely.
• Neat appearance.
• Ability to read and write reports.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Must obtain appropriate licensing.

Educational Requirements
