Job Description

The candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all visitors, employees, and properties related to horse racing at Presque Isle Downs. Responsibilities include controlling access to the Stable Gate area, providing physical security and visual presence in the stable area, enforcing track rules and regulations, issuing citations, managing parking permits, and ensuring only authorized personnel access the Jockey Room. The role also involves maintaining order in the Winner’s Circle and Paddock, limiting access at the Shoot Gate and South Track Gate, performing scheduled patrols, preparing reports, and managing incident documentation. Additional duties include verifying identification of individuals attempting to access viewing areas, placing wristbands on young-looking individuals, crowd control, and other related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Security experience is helpful but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Must perform duties respectfully and politely.
• Present a neat appearance.
• Ability to read and write reports.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Must obtain appropriate licensing.

Educational Requirements
