Job summary

R. J. Corman Railroad Company is seeking a Track Superintendent to join our team in Dayton, TX.

You will direct track inspections and maintenance forces to ensure safe train operations, supervise crews, and coordinate with other railroads as needed. This role requires strong FRA knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include overseeing track maintenance, ensuring inspection compliance, and leading special projects while

Qualifications

• Prefer related work experience of at least 3-5 years involving track inspection, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of FRA rules and regulations required.
• Must have good communication skills and good employee relations.
• Should be multi-task oriented and possess good analytical skills.
• Computer application skills required, and previous supervisory type experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct track inspections and maintenance forces to ensure safe train operations.
• Oversee track forces to ensure quality maintenance and safe work performance.
• Undertake special projects as assigned.
• Ensure track meets inspections requirements for FRA guidance.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation within each area assigned.
• Communicate and coordinate with other railroads when necessary for operational efficiency.
• Maintain safety of employees performing inspections/maintenance activities.
• Maintain communication with operating divisions to address daily issues.
