Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to care for the racetrack and grounds. You will maintain appearance, operate vehicles and maintenance tools, and perform preventative tasks to keep facilities in top condition.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and facilities maintenance experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. A valid driver’s license is required, and a proactive team player attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and Facilities Maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must have ability to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use all equipment associated with the position in a proper and safe manner.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and basic finishing a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive approach to dealing with issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain racetrack and grounds to required standards.
• Operate a variety of vehicles, machinery, and maintenance tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed; care for and maintain equipment.
• Notify management of any suspicious or unusual activity in a timely manner.
• Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay updated on new trends in track and grounds maintenance.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.

• Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Assumes responsibility for maintenance of the racetrack and racing grounds.
• Maintains the appearance of the track to meet required standards; maintains plants, trees, and sHRubs and applies chemicals as needed, under supervision.
• Operates a variety of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to include tractor, pick-up truck, and power and manual maintenance tools.
• Performs a variety of grounds maintenance duties to include weed treatment, painting, trash collection, and operating of irrigation systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance as needed; cares for and maintains all light and heavy equipment.
• Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity in a timely manner.
• Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of track and ground maintenance.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

• Strong problem-solving skills.
