Job summary

Sam Houston Race Park in Houston is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to perform general upkeep for the facility and surrounding areas. You will mow, trim and clean public spaces, and assist with turf track maintenance.

This role requires a High School diploma (preferred) and TxRC license, plus about one year of general maintenance experience. You will operate mowers, trimmers, and light equipment to keep stalls, restrooms, and track areas in safe, clean condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• TxRC License required.
• 1 year general maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Mow and trim public areas including picking up trash.
• Cleans horse stalls and shovels manure.
• Operates backhoe, skip loader and small tractor in maintenance of public areas.
• Cleans and sweeps restrooms in the stable area.
• Installs and dismantles rails on turf track and replaces divots on turf track as needed.
• Locates irrigation leaks.
• Other duties as assigned.
