Job summary

BNSF Railway in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Track Maintenance Team member to construct, inspect, and repair railroad tracks and assets, while maintaining our railway corridors. This full-time position requires travel to job sites, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location.
• Able to work safely in the above working conditions.
• Able to work the above shift/hours.
• Able to meet the travel requirements.
• Able to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English.

Responsibilities

• Track maintenance repair and installation: repair and rebuild railroad track and maintain right of way.
• Maintain trackbed and replace ties; adjust rails.
• Operate power and non-powered hand tools and equipment.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment under varied weather and conditions.
• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
