Job summary

BNSF Railway in Dubuque, IA is hiring for a full-time Track Maintenance role within the Engineering Department. You will join the Track Maintenance Team, performing track construction, inspection, and repairs to keep rail corridors safe and efficient. Candidates must be able to travel to job sites for extended periods and work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.

Relocation assistance is not available. A probationary period of 60 days applies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate English.
• Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to travel to and remain on job sites for extended periods.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment and follow safety policies.
• Be able to work the above shift/hours.

Responsibilities

• Track maintenance repair and installation, including inspecting and repairing tracks.
• Maintain trackbed by ballast work, ties, rail adjustments, and material handling.
• Operate power and non-powered hand tools and equipment.
• Work in diverse weather and safety-conscious conditions daily.
