Job summary

Florida East Coast Railway is hiring a Machine Operator to support track maintenance, repair, and construction with a safety-first mindset. You will operate track maintenance equipment as part of a crew, with training starting November 9, 2026, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and then return to your home Gang for on-the-job training.

The role requires a CDL Class B, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with CDL Class B.
• Complete annual safety and track worker training and examinations.
• Must operate FEC Maintenance of Way vehicles and obtain required qualifications.
• Must attain FRA A & B certifications within 30 working days.

Responsibilities

• Operates track maintenance equipment as part of a work crew.
• Loads, unloads, and handles materials and equipment as instructed.
• Assists other employees as requested.
• Adheres to all FEC safety policies and procedures.
• Fulfills other duties or tasks as assigned by manager.
