Job summary

Florida East Coast Railway is seeking a Machine Operator to support the maintenance, repair, and construction of tracks and right of way with a safety-first focus. Training starts in New Smyrna Beach, FL, with two weeks of paid instruction, then return to the home gang for on-the-job training.

Inbound shifts run 2000–0700, Sunday through Wednesday, with pay starting at $27.16/hr and rising to $32.45/hr after qualification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A (as applicable) or Class B credentials may be required by federal/state laws.
• Must complete annual training and pass safety/track rules exams.
• Must be able to operate railway maintenance vehicles and obtain required permits.

Responsibilities

• Operate track maintenance equipment to support maintenance and construction of tracks and ROW.
• Load/unload materials and assist crew as directed.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties assigned by manager.
