Job summary

You will set up signals, coordinate with Rail Traffic Controllers, review site hazards, and perform administrative duties to maintain documentation per Quality Management System. This role requires at least 4 years in the railway industry and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years related job experience in the railway industry.
  • Track Inspection Guidelines certification is an asset.
  • Ability to read and understand schedules, standard railway plans and specifications.
  • Ability to work in a safety sensitive position directing work groups on live railway corridors.
  • Knowledge of railway safety regulations and precautions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient use of computers, tablets, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace safety culture and adhere to policies.
  • Conduct daily job briefings for contractors.
  • Review site daily and coordinate with supervisor/contractors.
  • Set up, reposition, and dismantle railway signals at locations.
  • Communicate with protected work group and rail traffic controllers.
  • Operate company vehicles and perform daily maintenance/inspections.
  • Perform special duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Handle documentation per Quality Management System.
