Job summary

Wittenberg University in Ohio is seeking an Assistant Track & Field Coach to support the head coach in leading a Division III men's and women's program, with emphasis on the horizontal and vertical jump events.

This is a full-time, 12-month exempt position reporting to the Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach; essential duties include practice and meet-day preparation, recruitment, academic integrity, and event management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 1–3 years of collegiate coaching or playing experience with emphasis on jumps.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to interact with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty and staff.
• Familiarity with Hudl, Synergy, and recruiting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with practice and meet-day preparation and execution, including travel planning and budget oversight.
• Evaluate, recruit, and graduate student-athletes; maintain academic integrity.
• Supervise events and engage with stakeholders; assist in hiring and training student workers.
