• Recruit quality prospective student-athletes that fit within the Christian and Academic requirements set forth by The University of Valley Forge.
• Monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans through appropriate staff when needed.
• Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of student-athletes.
• Coach team members individually and in groups, demonstrating game techniques.
• Develop and implement game strategies and position assignments.
• Manage all operational, fiscal, and administrative activities for the sports program.
• Promote the athletic program and specific sport through community events, public speaking, fundraising, and marketing.
• Ensure adherence to all Association, Conference, and University rules by athletes and staff.
• Collaborate with scheduling coordinators to schedule non-conference opponents within NCAA guidelines.
• Provide transportation to and from games, including driving responsibilities.
• Manage online job boards related to off-campus jobs and professional opportunities.
• Assist students in finding off-campus employment and provide information about on-campus jobs.
• Serve as the departmental liaison for Faculty and Staff to ensure all jobs, internships, and opportunities are current and promote UVF students.
• Engage with employers to promote UVF students and gather information on part-time employment.
• Meet with students to review resumes and discuss professional opportunities.
• Provide guidance and counseling in career services, including self-assessment tools and career choices.
• Manage all on-campus Career Service events, such as job fairs, seminars, mock interviews, and employer visits.
• Create and maintain assessments on career opportunities and manage planning tools.
• Manage Career Services email and social media pages with support from the Marketing Department and student workers.
• Assist in managing student workers, verifying time cards bi-weekly, and assigning responsibilities.
• Conduct Career Services overview sessions for First Year Experience classes.
• Assist in managing the “Student Link” academic support program.
• Meet weekly with students needing academic support.
• Collaborate with the disability services office for student support.
• Help manage and update Beacon, the student alert and notification system.
• Oversee and manage study hall space in the Student Success department.
The environment involves typical office physical conditions. Most tasks are performed sitting, but standing, walking, and lifting small objects may be required. Regular travel is expected.
