Job summary

Mount Holyoke College is seeking a part-time Track & Field Assistant Coach to support the Athletics department. The role involves assisting with practices, competitions, recruiting, and student-athlete development throughout the academic year.

  • Current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coach assigned event groups during practices and competitions (throws experience strongly preferred).
  • Ensure all training sessions and competitive environments adhere to proper safety standards and best practices within the sport.
  • Assist the Head Coach with recruiting efforts, including communicating with prospective student-athletes in full compliance with NCAA Division III regulations.
  • Support and monitor the academic progress, personal development, and well-being of all track & field student-athletes.
  • Assist with the maintenance, organization, and inventory of event-specific equipment.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of home track & field meets and events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

The Assistant Coach will collaborate closely with the Head Coachand student leaders, supporting all aspects of programadministration throughout the academic year. This role requiresavailability for evening and weekend commitments for practices,competitions, and recruiting events.
