Job summary

Deming Public Schools Athletic Department is seeking a 25-26 SY JV Track Coach to prepare athletes for competition across JV, C Team, and 9th-12th grade levels. Responsibilities include teaching techniques, conditioning, supervising practices and events, and promoting sportsmanship.

Must have a coaching license or NMAA-certified credentials and complete the district application. Salary is set at $2,800 with district posting and in-district application process.

Qualifications

• Coaching license or NMAA coaching certification with results.
• Experience coaching track is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Teach track techniques, rules and strategies.
• Condition athletes for endurance, strength and agility.
• Supervise practices and contests, locker rooms and buses.
• Instill sportsmanship, teamwork and responsibility in the team.
• Monitor attendance, grades and conduct of athletes.
• Respond to injuries using approved first aid techniques.
• Manage uniforms, equipment and facilities responsibly.
• Participate in offseason program development and school sports activities if required.
