Job summary

A local educational institution is seeking a Track Assistant Coach for the 2025-2026 season to help develop student-athletes' skills and provide positive mentorship. Applicants need appropriate coaching certification and strong knowledge of the sport. The role involves working flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and traveling with the team. Qualifications

  • Must be willing to travel with the team to practices and games.

Responsibilities

  • Coach student-athletes in the specific sport.

  • Travel with team for away games and competitions as needed.

Compensation

This is a Differential position. The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website. Coaches with 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience. Employment as a coach is on an at-will basis.

The season for this sport typically runs from late February-mid May. The exact dates are determined based on IESA rules and the schedule for State events. More detailed questions regarding the schedule can be directed to the Athletic Director at the school.
