Job summary

Champaign Unit 4 Schools is seeking a Girls Wrestling Assistant Coach for the 2026-2027 season. This differential position requires IHSA coaching certification or an Illinois Educator License and a strong knowledge of the sport to develop student-athletes.

You must be willing to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends and travel with the team to different locations for practices and competitions. At-will employment.

Qualifications

• IHSA-regulated coaching certification or IL Educator License is required.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling and ability to teach student-athletes.
• Ability to build relationships and be a positive role model for students.
• Effective communication with students and adults.

Compensation

• This is a Differential position. The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website. Coacheswith 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience. Employment as acoachis on an at-will basis.
