Responsibilities:

• Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests
• Examine vehicles for safety or additional service needs
• Inform service advisors of additional work or delays
• Document all work performed and recommendations
• Road-test vehicles as required
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training
• Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions
• Keep vehicles clean and inform service advisors of any changes
• Maintain a neat shop area and care for tools and manuals
• Comply with regulations affecting service operations
• Operate tools and equipment safely and report safety issues

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience as an auto technician
• Clean DMV record for the past 2 years
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast learner with excellent communication skills
• Customer service-oriented and team player
• Computer literate and able to operate diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver’s license and High School Diploma
