Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a part-time on-call Changeover Labor at Legends Global’s operations team. The role involves setting up and changing over events, moving and arranging items, and assisting with event strikes across venues.

The employee must work safely, follow directions, and present a professional appearance throughout shifts. Desirable candidates have previous related experience and may hold a forklift certificate.

• Desirable: Previous experience in a similar line of work
• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to follow safety rules and procedures

Responsibilities

• Under direction, event set-up and changeover to include moving, arranging, assembly and disassembly, setting and removal of items needed for various events.
• Participates in Event set-ups and strikes, including chairs, tables, riser/stages, reader boards, stanchions, lecterns, piano, office furniture and equipment, etc.
• Cleans equipment when necessary. Makes recommendations for the improvement of all phases of the facility operation.
• Works safely at all times, notifying the Lead or Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Changeover Manager/Supervisor

FLSA STATUS: Part Time/On-Call/Non-Exempt

COMPENSATION: $24.00 an hour

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Required: None

Desirable: Previous experience in a similar line of work

License/Certificate:

Prefer forklift certificate

Knowledge of: Safe work practices

Ability to: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using the English language

Receive direction both verbally and in writing and follow those directions precisely

Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday

Skill to: Operate radio devices

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 50lbs. without assistance for 40% of the workday; irregular hours will be required. May be required to work with hazardous chemicals/substances. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. This position requires stooping and lifting. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Must be able to pass background.
