Job summary

Nordstrom in Bellevue, WA seeks a Toy Soldier to represent FAO Schwarz with exceptional guest engagement and in-store theatrics. You will greet guests, stay in character, and lead the store's daily opening ceremony while presenting products with enthusiasm.

The role requires a flexible weekend schedule (Friday–Sunday and holidays) and a willingness to participate in social media and private events, with a uniform provided by the brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in a performance, acting, music, or dance background is a plus.
• Familiarity with a premium or experience-based retailer is a plus.
• Engaging, theatrical personality capable of captivating an audience.
• Positive and in character for extended periods without losing the Toy Soldier magic.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Physical requirements: continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, handle merchandise, lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests to deliver an outstanding experience throughout their visit.
• Build connections with visitors and passers-by, staying in character and theatrical.
• Lead the daily opening ceremony for the store with flair.
• Act as a greeter and local expert for guests.
• Participate in social media posts and video content in Toy Soldier persona.
• Demonstrate products with confidence to help customers explore the assortment.
• Lead private FAO events and private shopping experiences.
• Tailor talking points to audience with a personal flair.
