Job summary

Strottman International in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to drive new toy product concepts from design to production. You will coordinate with Creative, Engineering, and Asia teams to ensure feasibility, cost targets, and on-time delivery.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in project management and product development (toy industry preferred), plastics parts design, injection molding, mechanism design, and strong Excel/SolidWorks skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in project management and product design and development, preferably in a toy company.
• Experience in plastics part design, injection molding manufacturing, and mechanism design is required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate multiple projects and meet timelines.
• Ability to interface with teams in Asia and other stakeholders; translate concepts into manufacturable products.

Responsibilities

• Develops products ensuring feasibility of concepts for design, cost, manufacturability, and timing: collaborates with Creative on product design & development, provide alternative design solutions or options to unfeasible or unaffordable designs, provides predictive costing for product concepts, develop prototype samples to show design intent, conducts costing analysis to ensure designs fall within set price point
