Job summary

Basic Fun! in Boca Raton seeks an experienced Industrial Designer to lead product development from concept to production for our toy brands. You will define specifications, create drawings and 3D models, and collaborate with engineering, marketing and packaging teams to deliver market-ready products.

This full-time, on-site role requires strong sketching, communication, and a passion for toys, with daily coordination with our Hong Kong office. Fridays are optional remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, toy design or related field.

Responsibilities

• Create drawings, sketches, and renderings to convey concepts to engineering, marketing, packaging and management.
• Create 3D mock-ups and models to communicate scale and function.
• Prepare control drawings, parts lists and descriptions for prototypes and tooling.
• Work on concept development with cost and mechanical engineering considerations.
• Apply design excellence in color and form across brands.
• Coordinate daily communications with Hong Kong engineering team.
• Participate in reviews and brainstorming sessions to generate ideas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors as needed.
