Job summary

RMS International (USA) is seeking an Industrial Designer specializing in toys and play products to join our North Andover studio. You will move concepts from sketch to shelf, balancing creative ideation with manufacturability and cost considerations.

Ideally you understand how kids and kidults play, can develop clear play patterns, and collaborate with Studio, Buyers, QA, and external partners to deliver compelling concepts across multiple categories and price points.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related design field.
• 2–6 years of toy or play-focused consumer product design experience.
• Proficiency in manufacturing CAD (Rhino, Fusion 360) and rendering tools.
• Strong 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Responsibilities

• Design original toy concepts across multiple categories and price points.
• Develop clear play patterns, mechanisms, and interactive features.
• Translate trends and buyer insights into engaging product ideas.
• Create fast sketches, CAD models, and presentation visuals.
• Prepare files for 3D printing and physical prototyping.
• Collaborate with the Studio team, Buyers, QA, and external partners.
• Review samples and provide actionable feedback.
• Participate in basic play testing and refinement cycles.
