NORTHERN BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INC dbaNorthernB is seeking a Research Scientist/Study Director in Muskegon, MI to lead non-clinical investigations under GLP guidelines. The role focuses on planning, conducting, and ensuring data integrity across studies.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of CRO experience in toxicology, strong scientific writing skills, and the ability to manage study protocols and regulatory compliance. Office-based with some lab exposure and potential extended hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent; PhD preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a GLP-compliant laboratory.
• Experience with peer-reviewed publications and scientific writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn new apps.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of GLPs (FDA, OECD, and MHLW) and regulations for laboratory animals.
• Ability to handle common laboratory species.
• Strong understanding of study design and protocols.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations and data collection.
• Ability to work under time constraints.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the single point of control for overall planning and conduct of non-clinical studies as Study Director.
• Ensure GLP compliance and validity of study outcomes.
• Generate and manage study protocols and changes; ensure approvals and adherence.
• Record and verify all raw data, observations, and documentation.
• Identify and document unexpected events; implement corrective actions.
• Confirm test systems meet protocol specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Archive all data, documentation, protocols, specimens, and final reports upon study completion.
• Interface with Sponsors, Vendors, Contributing Scientists and Principal Investigators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
