Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join the Toxicology/BioMonitoring team in Burlington, NC. The role runs Saturday–Tuesday, 8:00am–6:30pm, with new grads welcomed and full training provided.

Typical duties include evaluating specimens, performing routine and complex tests, maintaining instruments, and ensuring accurate results for patient care. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science is required, with certification preferred and strong team collaboration a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience preferred.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Understanding of laboratory operations and policies/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
