Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Certifying Scientist for RTP, NC. This role operates on a Monday–Friday night shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) and focuses on reviewing and certifying toxicology testing results, ensuring quality, and providing client consultations.

The position requires a strong background in chemical/biological sciences and relevant laboratory experience. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of lab work, with a preference for advanced degrees and experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 2 years or more of pertinent laboratory experience.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred; toxicology experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Review all test results for applicable screening and confirmatory clinical toxicology testing methodologies and QC data.
• Certify and release results meeting quality standards.
• Provide consultation to clients on technical/regulatory questions and assist inspectors/auditors as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a Chemical or Biological Science
