The Town of Dover is seeking a senior-level Town Engineer to lead engineering operations in the newly formed Department of Public Works. This full-time, 35-hour-per-week role oversees design, bidding, and construction management of roads, drainage, water, municipal buildings, parks and cemeteries, and ensures MS4/NPDES compliance.

If that appeals to you, the Town of Dover is seeking a senior-level Town Engineer to lead engineering operations and serve as our first full-time Town Engineer, within the newly formed Department of Public Works. This is a high-responsibility, independent position overseeing the design, bidding, and construction management of infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, culverts, water, municipal buildings, parks, and cemeteries. The role also ensures compliance with the Town’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit, and acts as the administrator for the Town’s Stormwater Authority, Stormwater Bylaw (Ch159). This position will also perform technical reviews of private development and provide expert engineering guidance to other town officials.
