Job summary

NextEdge is seeking a Telecommunications Technician II (Top Hand) to lead high-stakes tower construction, repair, and maintenance projects. You will guide the crew on complex tasks at height, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards and fostering teamwork.

Certifications in climbing/rescue, rigging, PPE, and equipment operations are preferred. You will oversee rigging, testing, grounding, and fiber installations, and serve as the on-site leader coordinating with the Foreman on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in telecom construction with leadership experience.
• Certifications in climbing/rescue, rigging, PPE usage are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tower construction and maintenance on-site.
• Act as on-tower lead, guiding team for safety and efficiency.
• Oversee grounding, coax/fiber handling, and rigging tasks.
• Conduct sweep, PIM, and fiber testing to validate performance.
• Maintain OSHA/EHS protocols and mentor junior technicians.
• Operate cranes and hoists for lifting and positioning.
• Review drawings and technical docs to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with Foreman and stakeholders on solutions.
