Job summary

ci2 is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Controller to manage safe, orderly flow in a Visual Flight Rules airport tower in Jackson, Mississippi. You will apply established procedures independently under the supervision of the tower manager and monitor radars, radios, and equipment to ensure safe takeoffs and landings.

The role requires 2+ years of ATC experience, a current CTO certificate, a Class II Medical Certificate, and adherence to DOT/FAA drug testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience as an Air Traffic Controller.
• Current or former CTO Certificate and a current Class II Medical Certificate are required.
• CTO with a facility rating for a minimum of two years in an ATC Tower is required.
• DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing applies to this position.

Responsibilities

• Determine the order of departures to ensure equitable treatment and correct IFR/VFR separation.
• Coordinate runway use and sequencing of arriving/departing traffic.
• Monitor communications and navigational aids to maintain safe operations.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to others as needed.
• Maintain effective supervision of traffic under supervision of the tower manager.
