Job summary

Iowa Economic Development Authority is seeking a Tourism Partner Engagement Manager to connect state tourism partners with programs, resources, funding, and education. This role travels statewide and serves as the primary liaison between the Iowa Tourism Office and partners.

Responsibilities include developing outreach plans, coordinating events, administering grants, and communicating opportunities. The role focuses on building relationships, informing stakeholders, and keeping programs aligned

Qualifications

• Experience working with tourism, destination marketing, or economic development initiatives.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing marketing or media-focused content.

Responsibilities

• Building and strengthening tourism industry relationships with partners, governments, and organizations.
• Leading industry outreach and engagement with annual outreach plans and stakeholder feedback.
• Administering tourism grant and funding programs with outreach, review, scoring, and compliance.
• Coordinating educational programs and partner events (webinars, workshops, roundtables, Insider Meetings).
• Supporting the Iowa Tourism Conference with sponsor and exhibitor coordination and outreach.
• Creating industry communications and resources (newsletters, announcements, website content).
• Maintaining partner information and updating program data and deadlines.
