Job summary

Blue Man Group is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager for the 2026 North American Tour. The ASM will support the Production Stage Manager and handle calling performances, backstage operations, props, load-ins/loadouts, and press events to ensure consistent, safe shows.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in stage management or related field and at least 3 years’ experience, with proficiency in scheduling and Microsoft Office. Domestic travel is required for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Stage Management, Performing Arts, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Stage Management experience in live entertainment or touring productions.
• Proven ability to call live performances and manage cue-heavy shows.
• Experience with props, consumables, and backstage operations.
• Proficiency in scheduling, documentation, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first book cover, calling performances as assigned based on schedule and company needs.
• When calling, chair daily Circle Meetings, conduct soundcheck, review notes, and coordinate with performers and tech teams.
• When the Production Stage Manager is not present, lead the space, maintain morale, and show integrity across departments.
• Attend post-show notes sessions and complete show reports for review by the Production Stage Manager.
• Manage the deck during performances and maintain prop presets, running tracks, and daily/weekly prop maintenance.
• Conduct front-of-house briefings and communicate show information to venue staff as needed.
• Assist with load-ins/loadouts, organize instruments and consumables, and support prop/FX readiness for press events.
