Job summary

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group's Blue Man Group North American Tour is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) to support the Production Stage Manager and Stage Management team across a touring production. The ASM will call performances, oversee backstage operations, props, consumables, load-ins/outs, and assist with press and promotional events.

Ideal candidates have a background in live entertainment, proven ability to call cue-heavy shows, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Stage Management, Performing Arts, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Stage Management experience in live entertainment or touring productions.
• Proven ability to call live performances and manage cue-heavy shows.
• Experience with props, consumables, and backstage operations.
• Proficiency in scheduling, documentation, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to travel domestically for extended periods (Nov 2026–Dec 2026) and maintain eligibility for U.S. employment and travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first book cover, calling performances as assigned based on schedule and company needs.
• Chair daily Circle Meetings during calling, review notes from previous performance, and coordinate with performers and technical departments.
• When the Production Stage Manager is not present, act as the leader in the space, maintaining communication and show integrity across departments.
• Attend post-show notes sessions, facilitate communication, and complete show reports for review by the Production Stage Manager.
• Manage the deck during performances and maintain prop presets, running tracks, and daily/weekly prop maintenance.
• Conduct front-of-house briefings and communicate relevant show information to venue staff as needed.
