Ruby Falls LLC is seeking a Tour Guide Team Member to lead engaging cave tours, share the history and features of Ruby Falls, and ensure guest safety. The role emphasizes energetic communication, inclusivity, and a friendly, welcoming environment for diverse guests.

Typical duties include delivering 60-80 minute tours, coordinating with team members, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced setting. Weekend/holiday availability is required.

Job Summary:

The Tour Guide Team Member plays a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences by delivering engaging, educational, and memorable cave tours while ensuring guest safety and providing outstanding customer service. This position is responsible for leading guided tours, sharing the history and natural features of Ruby Falls, supporting daily operations, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. Successful team members are energetic communicators who enjoy working with diverse groups, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about sharing the unique story of Ruby Falls.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Speak in front of at least 40 guests and effectively deliver messages through verbal and non-verbal.
• Effectively communicate with people of all backgrounds and ages.
• Give 60-80 minutes tours following established procedures.
• Take personal responsibility for showing every guest they are valued and appreciated by speaking respectfully, accurately answering questions, and demonstrating an inclusive, positive attitude.
• Operate the elevator, as assigned, between tours.
• Effectively communicate with Admissions team, maintenance, and management regarding areas of concern.
• Be aware of emergency procedures and respond appropriately in the event of an incident/accident.
• Provide training as needed.
• Help maintain cleanliness of facilities.
• Follow all safety standards and procedures.
• Provide friendly customer service, which meets the company's expectations.
• Conduct restroom and café checks as needed.
• Provide way-finding assistance as needed.
• Maintain uniform compliance.
• Other assignments assigned as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Walk up to 5 miles
• Ability to use hands and fingers to press, grab
• Navigate low-light and uneven cave pathways
• Stand (up to 5 hours)
• Lift/Carry up to 40 pounds

Educational and Other Requirements:

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to speak and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to read, interpret, and respond to necessary documents.
• Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision.
• Must be able to memorize and retain large amounts of information.
